Meet the Founder

Kioka C. Tuck, known affectionately as Miss T is a native of Rockford, Alabama. Upon graduating from Central Coosa High School, Kioka, intrigued by the African American plight in education, enrolled in Tuskegee University. Upon earning her Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood/Special Education from Auburn University Montgomery, she went on to become a lead teacher in the Pre-
K Program, and has led a seven year career in the early childhood profession. Her love for various genres of reading, children’s books, books by authors of color, art, and creativity, serves as driving force for her non-profit: Miss T’s Book Room.
